The Challenge

When launching a new innovative product and creating a new category, our client needed a definition of product at launch and a line extension and technology roadmap to commercialize their solution that would ensure they would optimize the market opportunity, driving awareness, adoption and advocacy.

The Strategy

Through a series of facilitated dialogs and workshops, we developed a comprehensive 5 year roadmap to align the organization on priorities, technology development and resource allocation. We aligned the team on the competitive advantage (USP), defined the launch product, outlined a growth & expansion plan for the technology and strategized for disruption from competitors. We designed and conducted a series of interactive planning sessions where we explored the unique points of differentiation (USPs), ideated opportunities to exploit and expand those USPs into new product concepts, defined a product & channel differentiation strategy for launch and year 2 expansion, prioritized those initiatives on a timeline making strategic choices regarding the sequence of launch and agreed on the action plan to get the required resources working on the key initiatives immediately.

The Results

The innovative solution is in test market and will be launching nationwide late 2019/early 2020. The roadmap we developed is the document guiding organizational priorities in these areas.
