The Challenge

A leading consumer products business has experienced significant growth via acquisition. The stated strategy was not clearly understood by all business leaders and it was not inclusive of all business segments. As a result, conflicting priorities, unique business systems and other operational inefficiencies prevailed. Strategy required clarification and revision to leverage the strengths of the portfolio.

The Strategy

Define multi-year, multi-channel strategy that leverages and clearly defines interdependencies and competitive advantages of portfolio business segments. Clear definition of enterprise value each business segment contributes and role within the business portfolio was defined to lead to clear priorities. Organizational evolution was recommended to drive to marketing excellence.

The Results

Organizational changes are underway; business priorities are clear and organization is aligned. Business results are improving v. prior year.
